MARY "PAULINE" EICHACKER, nee Schmiz, 97, of Cahokia, Illinois, born September 11, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in Millstadt, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Eichacker was a loving homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia, IL. She always loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Eichacker, Sr.; two sons, Eugene Eichacker, Jr. and Edward Eichacker (and his wife Ruth Ann); her parents, Albert and Mary, nee Grieve, Schmiz; three brothers, Albert, Charles, and John Schmiz; and three sisters, Sister Catherine Schmiz, Helen Phillips, and Margaret Eichacker.

Surviving are her children, Allan (Kathy) Eichacker of Edwardsville, IL, and Cecilia (William) Podhrasky, Carol (Jerry) Faris, and Paula (John) Wainwright, all of Millstadt, IL; a daughter-in-law, Lynda Eichacker of California; a sister, Lillian Sue House of Old Town, FL; 21 grandchildren, Scott Eichacker, Jeff (Jean) Eichacker, Patrick Ricke, Joseph Eichacker, Ronald Eichacker, Richard Eichacker, James Eichacker, Dawn Greicar, Christa (Robbie) Williams, Alicia (Chris) Erwin, Michelle (James) Miles, Patty (Robert) Smith, Andrew (Jessica) Keck, Samuel (Jo) Keck, Kimberly (Mark Grossman) Podhrasky, B.J. (Amy Welch) Podhrasky, Amy (Eric) Edgar, Stephanie (Dan) Schulte, Sara (Bobby) Siebert, Tracy (Michael) Donnelly, and Kelley (Jeffrey) Atchison; 37 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral procession to leave at 9:40 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial, with Monsignor Carl Scherrer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
