Mary F. Demetrulias, nee Donahue, 87, of Cahokia, Illinois, born June 11, 1930 in East Louis, Illinois, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was a retired bus driver for the Cahokia Unit School District 187. She was formerly employed by Our Lady of the Snows Gift Shop. She was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Swansea, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Angelo Demetrulias, Sr.; her parents, John and Clara, nee Heinlein, Donahue; two sisters, Ellen Gawronski and Alvina "Gypsy" Constantine; and a daughter-in-law, Dianne Demetrulias.
Surviving are her children, George A, (Pamela) Demetrulias, Jr. of Waterloo, IL, Patty A. (Timothy) McElligott of Dupo, IL, Georgia M. Lange of Collinsville, IL, Wayne C. (Marsha) Demetrulias of Dupo, IL, Angelo G. (Lea) Demetrulias of Yulee, FL and Timothy J. Demetrulias of Cahokia, IL; special friends, Durant (Angie) Blackman of Troy, IL and Brian (Kim) Poole of Columbia, IL; 19 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson. She was a dear sister-in-law, aunt cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral procession to leave at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, from the funeral home to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Swansea, IL, for an 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Father Achilles Karathanos officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
