Margaret A. Melliere nee May, 84 of Columbia, IL., was born on June 12, 1933 in Fults, IL and passed away on July 1, 2017 at Oak Hill in Waterloo, IL.
Mrs. Melliere married the love of her life, Robert, on December 29, 1951. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo, IL, and a current member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbia, IL. Margaret was a homemaker and later worked at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. She also worked for the LCMS Commission on Theology & Church Relations. She loved music, having learned to play the organ at Renault Church at a young age. She played at churches, for weddings, funerals, and more. She continued this for most of her life, she also loved to visit the senior living centers to play for the residents.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Hulda nee Prange, May. Brothers, Mike, Vernon (Shirley), Norman (Pearl), her sisters Ardell (Elmer) Kaestner and Fern (William) Reynolds.
Surviving are her husband Robert Melliere, her children DeeAnn (Jerry) Mecum of Naples, FL., Lee (Cindy Bender) Melliere of Waterloo, IL. and Grant (Barbara) Melliere of Valmeyer, IL. Grandchildren are Shannon (Mike) Krebel, Stephanie (Keith) Breitenstein, Christopher Melliere and Meagan Melliere. Her Great grandchildren are Mikayla and Caroline Krebel. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL and on Saturday July 8, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbia, IL. Services will begin at 10:00 am with Pastor Steven Theis officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Valmeyer, IL.
