Margaret JoAnne Lenz, nee Waymire, 84 of Red Bud, IL., formerly of Cahokia, IL, born on February 5, 1934 in St. Louis, MO., passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Red Bud Regional Care.

Margaret retired from Cahokia Walmart. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia, IL. and former member of St. Catherine Laboure Church in Cahokia, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Alexander Lenz Jr.; a son, Michael Lenz; her parents, Glen and Syvilla, nee Wegman, Waymire; three brothers, Vince, Jim and Gene Waymire; a sister, Rosemary Carron; and two grandsons, Scott Alan and Adam Ryan Lenz.

Surviving are her children, Louis (Denise) Lenz of Waterloo, IL., Kenneth Lenz of Kirkwood, MO., Thomas (Linda) Lenz of Waterloo, IL., Jerome (Anna) Lenz of Waterloo, IL., Lawrence (Tammy) Lenz of Olathe, KS., Vincent Lenz of Barnhart, MO., Lisa (Andrew) Gray of Waterloo, IL. and Matthew (Sara) Lenz of Waterloo, IL.; 32 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Margaret was also a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Rd., Columbia, IL. and from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, to Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia, IL. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
