Lee E. Jenkins, 71, of Edwardsville, Illinois, born December 7, 1953, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.

Lee was retired from the city of Belleville, Illinois' wastewater treatment plant.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lee E. Jenkins, II; a daughter, Lisa Jenkins; his parents, JB and Eva, nee Gruver, Jenkins: a brother, Robert Jenkins; and a sister, Anna Jenkins.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Jenkins, nee Ates; a son, Lonnie (Katie) Jenkins of Glen Carbon, IL; two sisters, Peggy Campbell of Greenville, IL and Bernadette Hayes of Senath, MO; five grandchildren, Samantha (Nicholas) Kellerman, and Michael, Angel, Mary Jane, and Annabella Jenkins.  He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.  Funeral services follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Reid officiating.  A private cremation will follow.
