Lee Alan Green, 66, of Granite City, Illinois, born October 31, 1954, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Lee spent his career cooking at various restaurants in the area, including being the head cook at the National City Stockyards Restaurant and Good Times Bar and Grill in Dupo, IL. He loved to go fishing and to cook for his family and friends; his specialty was his cheesecake.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Beverly, nee Skare, Green.

Surviving are his children,Michael (Stephanie Keck) Green of Belleville, IL, Sheila (Elijah Gonzales) Stahlecker of Thornton, CO and Sarah (Alim) Muhammad, of Scott AFB, IL; two sisters, Kim, (John) North, of Ashland, OR and Jann (Bill) Kratky, of Belleville, IL; three brothers, Paul Green, of Wood River, IL, Scott (Julia) Green, of Granite City, IL, and Cary (Pamela Laramore) Green, of Glen Carbon, IL; ten grandchildren, Audrey, Andyn, Julius, Leilah, Aviana, Marcus, Mariah, Maranda, Marlen, and Marlee; also his dear friend, Nancy Oakes of Paducah, KY and neighbor and good friend, Steve Dedmon. Special thank you to his care givers, Stephanie Kippenberger and Crystal Jackson. He was also a dear uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In following Lee's wishes, cremation is to follow.
