Obituary

Lawrence "Tony" Anthony Fant, 40, of Shiloh, Illinois, born June 11, 1985 in Centreville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

In life, Tony enjoyed tinkering with electronics; A love he developed through video games and sound design. He spent much of his free time collecting and playing various games from many genres—with a particular love for survival horrors. His love of electronics developed into his hobby of custom personal computer builds. He shared his love of electronics by playing co-operative video games-a tradition that will survive him in his siblings, cousins, and friends. He spent hours wiring speakers and exploring immersive film and music experiences at family gatherings, holidays and birthday parties. Though he will be deeply missed, Tony will be remembered by his loved ones for his humor and levity. His laughter, cherubic nature, and light will remain lasting parts of his legacy. Above all else, Tony cherished being a father. This was his greatest joy and proudest achievement. His children, Alastar and Xyza, will carry his qualities and likeness—honoring his aforementioned legacy.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Fant, nee Boren.

Surviving him are his father, Larry Fant; his children, Alastar and Xyza; his siblings, Brittany (Brad) Fant-Gabioud, Brendan Fant, Robert (Dana) Peyman, Dolly (Benny) Cross, Jared (Brittny) Peyman, and Deborah (Gina) Peyman; and his partner, Victoria Guetterman.  He was also a dear uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
