Kenney L. Hamontree 73 of Dupo, IL., born November 8, 1944 in Gattman, MS., passed away on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at Barnes/Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Hamontree retired from Washington University School in St. Louis, MO., his passion was Bass fishing.

Preceded in death by his daughter Gina Hamontree and his parents Lushein & Altie nee Wilson, Hammontree.

Surviving are his loving wife Bonnie Hamontree nee Daugherty, his children; Lori Hill  of Guntown, MS., Erin (Remy) Hamontree of Sallisaw, OK., Brandon (Rita) Hamontree of Hampton, VA.  Grandchildren; Blake, Courtney, Madison, Macie & Madden. Brothers; Charlie (Joyce) Hamontree of Ellisville, MO., Mark Hamontree of Florida. Sister; Jeanie (Gary) Broyhill of Ava, IL. Sister-in-laws; Bev Asher of Park Hills, MO., Jean Daugherty of Granite City, IL., Barb Coonce of Troy, IL., Brother-in-laws; Bill Daugherty of Mulberry Grove, IL., Bruce (Karen) Stone of Mississippi. Special nieces & nephews; Cheyeanne, Robert & Reid Crippen. Special cousins; Lois & Don Thompson. Special neighbors; Rose, Joe, Cathy Everett. Special fishing buddy Bill Brakefield and great friend Matt Similey.

A memorial gather will be on Tuesday July 24, 2018  from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Road Columbia, IL. Services will be at 6:00 p.m. with family members speaking. Private cremation was held.
