Kenneth W. Hankins, 79, of Cahokia, IL, born May 8, 1942, in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at his residence.

Kenneth retired from Hankins Construction Co. in St. Louis, MO, He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 47 out of St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Cahokia, IL. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Rosalie, Wick, Hankin and; a brother, David G. Hankins.

Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Diane M. Hankins, nee Schell; his children, Kenneth W. Hankins, Jr. of Boston, MA, Matthew (Lisa) Hankins of St. Peters, MO, Christopher (Tracy) Hankins of St. Louis, MO, Oakley (Carla) Hankins of Columbia, IL, Ann Edwards of Columbia, IL, and Rebecca Hankins of Cahokia, IL; a sister, Nancy Allison of Overland, MO; eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Joe, Justin, Daniel, Samuel, Emma, Grant, Ethan, Dylan, Landon and Elizabeth; and one great granddaughter, Nora. Kenneth was also a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL.
