Kathy J. Davenport, nee Fink, 74, of Columbia, Illiinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born August 18, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, died Friday, July 28, 2023, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Kathy was retired from Obata Design in St. Louis, MO.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia, IL.  In her younger years she loved to tend to her gardens, however, when she got older and it was harder for her to do her gardening, she turned to movie watching as her passion.  But, most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Davenport; a daughter, Jody Graff; her parents, John and Helen, nee Heike, Fink; a sister, Patricia McKean; and a niece, Jennifer Chott.

Surviving are her son, Kevin Davenport of Columbia, IL; her siblings, John (Mary Kay) Fink of St. Louis, MO, Sandra Oppland of Columbia, IL, Steven (Dawn) Fink of Arnold, MO, and Mary (Dale) Chott of Buffalo, MO; and three grandchildren, Gabrielle Graff, Alexandra (Nick Webb) Graff, and Paulena Davenport.  She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  In following Mrs. Davenport's wishes a private cremation was held and a burial will be scheduled at a later date.
