Junius "Ray" McClary, 79, of Dupo, Illinois, born December 18, 1937 in Kincaid, Illinois, passed on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Ray was a retired machinist from the Dorris Company in St. Louis, MO and was a
U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Junius and Veva McClary, nee Fitzsimmons; and a sister, Brenda Gillis.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda, nee Island, McClary; a son, Joe (Kelly) McClary of Lexington, KY; two daughters, Gina (Curt) Norman of Millstadt, IL and Julie (Jason) Hammack of Dupo, IL; a brother, David Allen McClary of Harrisburg, IL; 13 grandchildren, Katelyn, Chelsey, Brandon, Kelsey (Sean), Shelby, Sydney, Victor, Madison, Ashlyn, Joshua, David, John and Renaldo (Terri); 7 great grandchildren, Lily, Levi, Bo, Rachel, Omari, Laila and Liem. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2017, at the funeral home with his son Joe McClary officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
