Judy A. McKenzie, nee Braun, 79, of East Carondelet, Illinois, born August 27, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was retired from Steak and Shake in St. Louis, MO.  She formerly attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dupo, IL.  She loved reading, spending time with her family, and collecting bells.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron McKenzie; her parents, Julius and Erma, nee Dehaven, Braun; two sisters, Doris Krull and Jeanette Rodriguez; and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Wells.

Surviving are her children, Kim Wolf of East Carondelet, IL, Aaron "Jay" McKenzie, Jr. of Crestview, FL, Nina (Mike) Crase of Thayer, MO, Julius "Mac" (Vanessa) McKenzie of Crestview, FL, and Heidi (Dan) Bachesta of Imperial, MO; grandchildren, James, Michael, Tony, Wendy, Gavin, Greg, Jessica, Adam, Jamie, Nicole, Zach, Jake, and Gabby; great-grandchildren, Teejay, Robert, Roger, Kaleb, Myia, Morgan, Wyatt, Kennedy, Brooke, Willow, Kynlee, Creedance, Kayleigh, Brooks, Brayson, Blake, Hailee, Alaina, Autumn, Gwendolyn, and Lydia.  She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
