Joyce Ann Gilliam, nee Ragsdale, 63, of East Carondelet, IL, born on November 23, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on November 12, 2023 at Barnes/Jewish Hospital.

Joyce was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, IL. She loved spending time outdoors and doing projects around the home. She loved to cook and travel. But most of all spending time with the family was her greatest treasure.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Rose Ann Ragsdale; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Sandy Gilliam.

Surviving are her loving husband of 30 years, Kevin Jay Gilliam; her children, Brian Ballard of Dupo, IL, Megan Gilliam of Dupo, IL, and Erica Gilliam of Dupo, IL; two brothers, Jay (Diane) Ragsdale of Texas and Charlie (Alisa) Ragsdale of East Carondelet, IL; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Gilliam of Florida; and a grandson, Connor Ballard of Dupo, IL. Joyce was also a dear, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Thursday,  November 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Linus Umoren officiating. Burial will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Waterloo, IL.
