Josephine L. Williams, nee Vlahek, 95, of Cahokia, Illinois, born February 12, 1927, in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Friday, March 18, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Josephine was a retired seamstress from Mary Mason Dress Factory in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge 4, both of East St. Louis, IL. She continued her love of sewing her entire life. She loved being "The Sewing Lady" of Cahokia. However, one of her greatest joys was her Mickey and Minnie collection that is rivaled by none.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Williams; her parents, Tony and Stella, nee Zurowski, Vlahek; a sister, Rose Drake; a son-in-law, Walt Eugea: a daughter, Patty Sue Williams; a grandson, John Williams; a great granddaughter, Cheyenne Eugea; her brothers-in-law, Everett Drake and Hugh Redman; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Vlahek.
Surviving are her children, Carren Eugea and Ronald (Bonnie) Williams; her grandchildren, Jim Eugea, Scott, and Shawn (Melissa) Alexander, and Cameron and Reece Williams; great grandchildren, Joshua (Carmen), Cortney, and Austin Eugea, Kaleb Alexander, Hayden O'Malley. Kolby Eugea, and Hadlee O'Malley; her great great grandchildren, Scarlett Rutledge, Anya Ford, and Skylar and Sabrina Rutledge;; a sister, Delores Redman; and a brother, Tony Vlahek. She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend. Josephine's family would like to thank the people from BJC Hospice for the care and support that they gave to her and her family.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral procession to leave at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, Cahokia, Illinois for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial with Father Osang Idagbo CM officiating. Burial will be in St. Adalberts Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Illinois
