Joseph T. Powell, 77, of Cahokia, Illinois, born October 25, 1941 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Joseph was a member of Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, Belleville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Powell, nee Kritz; his parents, Ruben and Mildred, nee Lynch, Powell; two brothers, two sisters; a son-in-law, Robert Biggers; and a great grandson, Jake Goen.

Surviving are his children, Mark Powell, Sr. of Cahokia, IL and Billie Biggers of Tucumcali, NM; a sister; nine grandchildren, Mark Powell, Jr., Dillon Householder, Jonathan Yon, Stefani Yon, Justin Powell, Shelby Powell, Jessica (Jason) Goen, Kelly Biggers, and James Biggers; 12 great grandchildren, Jewelee, Payton, Nicholas, Jaxtyn, Johanath, Nicholas, Justin, Robert, Lana, Michael, Trevor, and Hiden. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
