Joseph W. Pearl, 81, of Cahokia, IL. born February 25, 1943  in East St. Louis, IL.; passed away on Tuesday,June 4, 2024 at The Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy, IL.

Joseph was retired from Cahokia School District 187. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served one year in Greenland.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Eugene and Helen Lucille, nee Nagel, Pearl and a a brother, Richard A. Pearl.

Surviving are his children, Debbie Pearl, Greg Pearl and Larry Crews. a brother, Gerald (Tresha) Pearl; two sisters; Barbara Bayless and Karen (David) Blickenstaff. four grandchildren; Tori Dammrich, Ryan Noggle, Heather Crews, and Cody Crews; three great grandchildren; Emma Crowe, Layne Dammrich and Logan Day. He was also a dear uncle, cousin and friend.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. The Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. The Burial service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to Sandy Ridge Pub in Cahokia, IL for a Celebration of Life.
