Joseph "Joe" F. Brombolich, 79 years of age, of Waterloo, IL. passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

He was born October 16, 1946 in East St. Louis, IL to Joseph M. and Victoria M. Brombolich Klinger nee Flak.

Joe retired from Pfizer Inc. in East St. Louis, IL. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of both the American Legion Post 747 and VFW Post 6504 in Waterloo, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Victoria Brombolich nee Antoff; a brother, Lawrence J. Brombolich; and his parents.

Surviving are his sister, Charlotte (Lee Kelley) Scranton of Edwardsville, IL; three nieces; two nephews, and his lady friend, Christena Schoenbeck of Evansville, IL.

In accordance with Joe's wishes a private burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, with no public service.

Every other week, he made the "journey" to Edwardsville from Waterloo to have lunch with Charlotte and Lee. A good time was always had by all. Spending time with Christena and his friends meant everything to Joe. He always looked forward to having Sunday supper in Evansville with Christena and her family. He loved to travel to just about anywhere. But his 7 trips to Hawaii made this his favorite by far. He was also both a Blues and Cardinals fan. He will be sorely missed by his family and very close friends.
