Jonathan "Jon" Whiting, 50 of Cahokia, IL, born December 17, 1974 in Belleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at his Residence.

Jon served his Country in the U.S. Army Reserves, now employed at Geodis in Granite City, IL. Dedicated to personal character and strength he started young.  Jon earned the Eagle Scout award which stayed with him throughout his life evidenced by his dedication to his family, friends, community and his job. He was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terryl "Terry" Whiting.

Surviving him are his mother, Kathy Whiting, nee Seager of Cahokia, IL and sister, Michele Whiting of Cahokia, IL.  He was a dear son, nephew, cousin and friend.

Memorials may be made the to American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, IL. Funeral services will follow. Burial will be at Palmier Cemetery Columbia, IL.
