Jolene B. Debolt, nee Benson, 94, of Cahokia, Illinois, born September 1, 1928 in McDougal, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Autumn Meadows of Cahokia.

Jolene was a member of the Foundation of Truth COGIC in Cahokia, IL. She loved to knit, crochet, and work in her garden. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going fishing.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, David C. Ort and William Philip Debolt; a son-in-law, John Schrum; three brothers, Floyd, William, and Donald Benson; a sister, Ella Mae Benson; and five great grandchildren, Liam, Elizabeth, Chris, Michaela, and David.

Surviving are her children, Larry (Carol) Ort of Roscoe, IL, Shirley (Jon) Dickerson of Florida, Beverly Schrum of Steelville, MO, Audrey (Briaon Ferrell) Sands of Cahokia, IL, and Frida (Clayton) Ferguson of Freeburg, IL; a sister, Dorothy Wiltfang of Piggott, AR; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, Arkansas.
