John J. Woods, 49, of Columbia, IL. born September 11, 1972 in St. Louis, MO., passed away on November 19, 2021 at his residence.

John was a laborer in construction; he was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his children, John has a big heart.

Preceded in death by his father, Allen C. Woods; grandfather, John Frame; uncle, Steven Frame; paternal grandparents, George and Faye Daniels; and a cousin, Lisa Dawn Frame.

Surviving are his children; Tyler (Samantha Hunsperger) Peterson-Woods of Ballwin, MO, and Amber Woods of Fenton, MO; mother, Donna (Edward) Fricker of Columbia, IL; brother, Kyle Fricker of St. Peters, MO; grandmother, Jean Frame of Waterloo, IL, an uncle, Raymond Frame of Waterloo, IL; three aunts; Joyce (Bob) Downey of Waterloo, IL, Barbara (Gary) Biggs of AZ, and Denise (Fred) Manning of Waterloo, IL. John was a great uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Braun Family Funeral, Columbia, IL. Funeral procession to leave at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial with Father Carl Scherrer officiating. Private cremation will follow.
