John "Jay" E. Case, II, 60, of Cahokia, Illinois, born December 18, 1962, in Centreville, Illinois, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at his residence.

Jay was a retired welder.

He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Case, Sr.; two sisters, Sharrey Case and Shirley Case Greathouse; and his father-in-law, John Lockett.

Surviving are his wife, Sherri Case, nee Lockett; his children, Jessica (Norlin Parker) Case, Kayla (Jake Geen) Case, Whitney (Omar Gonzales) Case, and Brandon (Ashley Wilson) Case; his step children, Rachel (Matt) Dennis, Ashley (Wes) Breeding, and Ronnie (Jordan) Powell: his mother, Carolyn Case, nee Hall; a sister, Linda Case Thomas; 13 grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Patricia Lockett; four brothers-in-law, Edward Caughron, Lynn Turnbow, Steven Lockett, and Wayne Lockett; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Lockett, Michelle Koelling, and Crystal Torres. He was also a dear nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend.

In following Jay's wishes a private cremation was held. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the funeral home with Reverend Jimmy Spear officiating.  Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Mr. Case.
