JOHN ALLEN BROWN, 50, of Cahokia, Illinois, born August 7, 1966 in Carlyle, Illinois, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at his residence.

John enjoyed fishing and camping and he loved to spend time with his daughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Brown, Sr. and Anna Brown, nee Porter; a brother, Gerald Brown; and a sister, Patricia Brown.

Surviving are his two daughters, Danielle (Matthew) Schanuel of Columbia, IL and Jessica Brown of South County, MO; a grandson, Bryson Schanuel: three brothers, Charles (Janet) Brown of Greenville, MO, Joseph (Jane) Brown, Jr. of Mount Vernon, IL, and Joe (Alice) Brown, Jr. of Dupo, IL; three sisters, Anne (DJ Dickerson) Brown of Cahokia, IL, Jean France of Freeburg, IL, and Barbara (Rick) Kennon of Lonoke, AR; two step children, Brittany Boley of Kansas City, MO and Daniel Dent of Pensacola, FL; a sister-in-law, Sandy Brown of Murphysboro, IL. He was a dear step brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 p.m.
