Jessie "Louise" Motes, nee Uhl, 88, of St. Louis, Missouri, born November 12,1929 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at DePaul Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
Louise was a member of Guiding Light Church in East Carondelet, IL. She loved her family and was the happiest when she was with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Saulsbery; her parents, Pius and Pearl, nee Rich, Uhl; a son-in-law, J.R. Readus; a son, Daniel Saulsbery; two brothers, Everett and Ernest ; and five sisters, Velma, Bessie, Dessie, JoAnn and Levida.
Surviving are her children, Linda Readus of Arnold, MO., Willard (Connie) Saulsbery of Springfield, MO., David (Janet) Saulsbery of High Ridge, MO., Billy (Carolyn) of Clarkton, MO., and Charlotte (Jimmy) McKnight of East Carondelet, IL.; a brother, Clifford Uhl of Farmington, MO.; a sister, Helen (Richard) Harrington of High Ridge, MO.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also was a dear aunt, cousin and friend.
Friends may visit from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the funeral home with Sister Allie McKnight officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Black Creek Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, MO.
