Jerry Lee Lansing, Sr., 80, of Mascoutah, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born July 13, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, in O'Fallon, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry spent his working years, briefly for the railroad and then in the realty maintenance industry. He dedicated over 30 years of his life coaching youth baseball for the St. Joseph Khoury League in Cahokia, IL. Jerry was a United States Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Helen, nee Muskopf, Lansing; a brother, Donald Lansing; two granddaughters, Deana and Dawn Cavins; and a great grandson, Dylan Jones.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen "Kas" Lansing, nee Spisak; his children, Angel McCario, Deborah (Dwight) Cavins, Sandra (Jason) Flowers, Jerry (Sarah) Lansing, Jr., Scott (Nicole) Lansing, and Jeffrey Lansing; a sister, Carol (Mel) Zimmerman; 12 grandchildren, Jodi, Dustin. Dena (Mark), Jessica, Jaret, Jordan, Kelcie, Rhydian, Daniel, Emmett, Mason, and Brooklyn; and 12 great grandchildren. Jerry was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri
