Obituary

Jason B. Stacy, 97, of Cahokia, Illinois, born December 13, 1924, in Harrisburg, Illinois, died Monday, January 24, 2022, at his residence.

Jason was retired from Continental Can Company in St. Louis, MO. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Jerome Lane Baptist Church, Cahokia, IL and the Ainad Shriner's Legion of Honor. Jason was an avid golfer when he was able and he enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling around the country.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Louise Stacy, nee Gober;his parents, Gilbert S. and Jessie, nee Unsell, Stacy; four brothers, Leon, Carl, Winfred, and Bob Stacy; and two sisters, Norma Lea and Imogene.

Surviving are a son, Michael (Lee) Stacy of Cobb Mountain, CA; two grandchildren, Collin (Shanda) Stacy of Centreville, VA and Aubree (Bill) Gaynor of Suwanee, GA; and three great grandchildren, Cassidy, Wyatt, and Eleanor. He was also a dear uncle, cousin, and friend. Michael would like to thank the family members and friends who have helped Jason after the death of Louise.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Shriner's Hospital Children.

Friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Elam officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
