Janet Rosalie Asbury nee Campanella 79 of Waterloo, IL., born on May 30, 1939 in Willisville, IL., passed away on August 12, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Asbury was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, IL.

Preceded in death by her parents, Samuel & Theresa Messina, Campanella, 2 sisters, Fannie Lucille Campanella- Burchell- Ballard and Mary Jo Rader.

Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Danny Asbury, her children Dawn (Gary)McCormick of Columbia, IL., Robin (Brian) Spurgeon of Bartlett, TN. 2 brothers Frank (Mayetta) Campanella of DuQuin, IL., Sam (Marie) Campanella of Herrin, IL. Sister-in-law Pat Young of Waterloo, IL. 4 grandchildren, Kristin (Scott) Harvell of Hartselle, AL., Alexandra (Logan) Gillespie of Kansas City, MO., Reed Spurgeon of Columbia, IL., Wyatt Spurgeon of Waterloo, IL. 2 great grandchildren Kennedy Grace and Piper Rose. Special friends June Chartrand, Karen Melton and Roger & Phyllis Spurgeon. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Thursday August 16, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:30 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Michael Young officiating. Burial will be in Palmier Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
