James "Jim" Hugger, 39, of Columbia, IL, born May 4, 1982, in Chesterfield, MO, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in Springfield, IL.

Jim had a zest for life. He lit up the room wherever he went and never met a stranger. He was the life of the party and especially loved singing Karaoke. Jim had such a passion for his family and friends, and they meant more than anything to him. His smile was infectious and his laugh contagious. His quick wit was second to none, and he could bring you to tears with laughter in a second. Jim's passion crossed over into many things. He was passionate about music and animals. He possessed a humility and loyalty that were second to none. Jim's passing will undoubtedly leave a hole in the hearts of many.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Hugger, nee Gibson; grandparents, Bill and Omeda Gibson; and his grandfather, John H. Hugger Sr.

Surviving are his father, John H. Hugger Jr. of Columbia, IL; two brothers, John (Katy) Hugger of Millstadt, IL and Jeff Hugger of St. Louis, MO; and a grandmother, Elizabeth A. Hugger of Columbia, IL. Jim was also a dear nephew, uncle, cousin and friend.
