James J. Harrigan, 74, of Waterloo, IL, born October 26, 1946 in Niskayuna, New York, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital.

James was a veteran and retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was an avid New York Giants and St. Louis Blues fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Harrigan, nee Pakush; son, James M. Harrigan; parents, James P. and Irene Harrigan, nee Totals.

Surviving are his daughters, Jennifer Harrigan of Columbia, IL and Jaclyn Harrigan of Waterloo, IL; three granddaughters, Abbey Levin, Megan Levin and Jemmye Harrigan. He was like a father to lots and a friend to many.

Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Education & Activity Center.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, IL. Funeral service will follow with Konrad Faries Officiating. Private burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery St. Louis, MO.
