HOWARD S. SUTTON, 89, of Cahokia, Illinois, born November 21, 1927, in St. Louis, Missouri, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Sutton was retired from Gruendler Crusher and Pulverizer, Co. in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Machinist's Union. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of V.F.W. Post 1699 of Cahokia, IL. He was a Scout Master for Troop 621 of the Boy Scouts of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard C. and Pearl, nee Jobe, Sutton; a brother, Richard Sutton; and two sisters, Delores Scott and Shirley Mollet.
Surviving are his children, Steven Sutton of Salmon, ID, Peggy (Mark) Corey of Maryland Heights, MO, and Robert Sutton of Creve Coeur, MO; four grandchildren, Christina (Jeremiah), Lindsey (Mason), Rebecca, and Jeremy (Liz); and nine great grandchildren. He was a dear uncle, cousin, and friend.
In following Howard's wishes a cremation was to be held with a burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
