Obituary

Howard "Howie" M. Baker, Jr., 67, of East Carondelet, Illinois, born April 3, 1958, in East St. Louis, Illinois, died February 26, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Howie was retired from Gilister-Mary Lee Trucking in Perryville, MO. He loved his Harley and loved to ride it in the country.  Most of all, loved to spend time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Alice nee Sullivan, Baker, Sr.

Surviving are his wife, Regina "Gina' Baker, nee Bridger; his children, Shana (Nick) Lesinski of Columbia, IL, Wayne (Heather) Baker of Bonn Terre, MO, Ashley Robbins of Waterloo, IL and Jeffery (Daniellle) Radford of Waterloo, IL; sisters, Sharon (Gary) Edmonds of East Carondelet, IL and Cindy McCrossan of Caseyville, IL; six grandchildren, Niko Lesinski, Kody Potts, Ella Baker, Nevaeh Radford, Zaidyn Doyle, and Stevie Jean Robbins .  Howie was also a dear brother-in-law, nephew, uncle cousin, and friend.

In following Howie's request, a private cremation was to be held. A Celebration of Life Celebration will be held at a later date. The care of Mr. Baker was entrusted to Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.
