Helen Louise Kitchen, 94

Helen went to be with her Lord on September 25, 2021. She was born in Wappapello, Missouri on March 23, 1927. Helen met her beloved husband Lovelace at summer camp in Southeast Missouri and upon his return from serving in Europe during World War 2, they were married. She worked as a phone operator while Lovelace finished college at University of Missouri. They lived happily together for (72) years in Illinois, Missouri and Mississippi where they raised their 3 sons. She was carried through an incredible life by her Lord Jesus Christ and the endearing love of her family. Helen is preceded in death by Husband Lovelace, Father Douglas Barnfield, Mother Frona, Brothers Earl, Floyd, Ferl, Sisters Marie, Ruth, Anna May. She is survived by Brother Benton, Sister Martha, Sons Phillip and wife Wendi, Rodney and wife Connie, Rex and wife Carrol, Grand Children Jeffery, Joseph, Jenifer, Julia, Todd, Ryan, Grant, Nichole, Great Grand Children Sara, Lee, Grace, Zack, Douglas, David, Josh, Caroline and Great, Great Grand Child Kayden. She will be missed by all whom she touched in her life and we will all cherish the many memories she has left us with.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
