Helen J. Cook, nee Shrum, 88, of Marble Hill, MO, formerly of Cahokia, IL, born January 25, 1933 in Bessville, MO, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Stonebridge Nursing Home in Marble Hill, MO.

Helen was retired from Paramount Headwwear in Bourbon, MO. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby F. Cook; four sons, Michael, Randell, Steven, and Brian Cook; two grandsons, Jesse and Brad; her parents, William and Bessie, nee Davenport, Shrum, Sr.; a brother, William Shrum, Jr.; and three sisters, Vivian Shrum, Addele Long and Betty Mayfield.

Surviving are her children, Sherry Cook, Kelli (Ben) Phillips, and Jason (Christine) Cook; two brothers, Bill and Joe Shrum: two sisters, Carol Clendennin, and Terry Thiessen: 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
