Harold D "David" Evans 94 of Columbia, IL., born March 12, 1927 in Catawissa, MO, passed away on Friday March 26, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

David was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during WWII and the Korean War. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, IL. and a former member of Maplewood Park Baptist Church in Cahokia, IL. Formerly employed by Interstate Supply Company out of St. Louis, MO. He was the owner/operator of a Dave's Janitorial business in Cahokia, IL. for many years. He loved woodworking and playing the guitar.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years Dottie M. Evans, nee Richardson, parents Ethridge & Sylvia Evans, 1 2 brothers Calvin & Charles Evans, 1 sister Roanna Evans. Brother-in-law Ed Piersol and sister-in-law Ernie Evans.

Surviving are his children Diana (Larry) Goleaner of Columbia, IL, Debbie (Terry) Geist of Columbia, IL. 1 brother Jim Evans of Kansas City, MO. 1 sister Irene Piersol of Belleville, IL 4 grandchildren Shannon (Mark) Laxton of Columbia, IL. Shane Goleaner of East Asia, T.J. (Amy) Geist of Columbia, IL. Brett (Rachel) Geist of Urbana, IL. 13 great grandchildren. David was a dear uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Thursday April 1, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Peters officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
