In Loving Memory of Georgia Ann Prusa
Georgia Ann Prusa (née Miller), born on February 4, 1954, in Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on July 17, 2023 in East Carondelet, Illinois. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandma, friend, and member of Maplewood Church of Christ in Cahokia Heights, IL, who touched the lives of those around her with love and warmth.
Georgia's life was defined by her unwavering devotion to family and her passion for baseball. She found joy in listening to Cardinal games on the radio and sharing the excitement of the sport with her loved ones.
Her home was a haven of love and laughter, where her siblings, children, grandchildren, nephews, and niece gathered. Georgia's specialty, biscuits and gravy, was a cherished late-morning breakfast, and you almost always left her house with leftovers of many of her other family favorites.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Lavell and Pearlene Miller, brother Kevin Miller and son Chris Monroe.
Georgia is survived by her loving children and will be dearly missed by her daughter Angie Stratton and son-in-law Tim Stratton, Brian Monroe and daughter-in-law Katie Monroe, and daughter-in-law Susan Monroe. Georgia adored her two grandchildren; Kyle, son of Chris and Susan Monroe, and Parker, daughter of Brian and Katie Monroe. In addition to her kids, Georgia's niece and nephews held a special place in her heart.
Georgia shared a special bond with her siblings and is survived by her sisters, Melba, Teresa, and Robyn Miller, and her brother Tim Miller.
Georgia's departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in their hearts. Her warmth, kindness, and love for her family and friends will be cherished and remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Equus Rescue and Therapy, 8743 Le Pere School Rd., Millstadt, IL 62260, in her memory.
