George Eugene Horn, 59, of Dupo, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born August 17, 1959, in Centreville, Illinois, died Monday, December 10, 2018, at Evelyn's Hospice House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

George was employed as a Supervisor of Inspections for Jefferson County, Missouri. He was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Jefferson County Hog Hunters fishing club.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Horn, Sr. and a nephew, Ryan Horn.

Surviving are his children, Jayme (Zach) Nannestad of Castlerock, CO and Joshua (Michelle Weirather) Horn of Dupo, IL; his mother, Lillian, nee Habib, Horn of Imperial, MO; a brother, Sidney (Debbie) Horn, Jr. of Waterloo, IL; a sister, Joelle Schlater of Festus, MO; and a grandson, Jackson Nannestad of Castlerock, CO. He was also a dear nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. A walk through tribute by the Dupo Fire Department will be held at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service with Pastor Nancy Spiers officiating. At George's request cremation will follow.
