Gary M. Juenger, 67 of Columbia, IL, born December 23, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL.

Gary was retired from the Bricklayers' Local #1 of Missouri. He was a member of Community Bible Study of St. Louis, Missouri. He was very passionate about his kids' sports, as a coach, mentor and #1 fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Juenger, nee Beczkala; father-in-law, James C. Barnes.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Juenger, nee Barnes; three children, Marissa Juenger, Michael (Katherine) Juenger and Madelyne (fiancé, Spenser Deom) Juenger all of Columbia, IL; two brothers, Steve (Joan) Juenger and Kevin (Melissa) Juenger both of St. Louis, MO; mother-in-laws, Patricia Barnes aka Queen Bee and Carol Barnes both of St. Louis, MO; puppies and grand puppies. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the medical team, ICU staff, and caregivers at Memorial Hospital East.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church Columbia, 1200 Valmeyer Road Columbia, IL 62236. A private Burial will be held at Palmier Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
