Frederick "Fritz" Riecks, 94, of Dupo, Illinois, born on September 3, 1926 in Melvin, Iowa. passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Fritz was a U.S. Army veteran that served during the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Government as a supply Analyst and was an avid sportsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Rose, nee Beltz., Riecks;. a sister, Pat Terry; and a brother, Ronald Riecks.

Surviving are his loving wife of 70 years, Genevieve Riecks, nee Hanneke, Fritz; many nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Mya. He was also a dear friend to many.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
