Frederick S. Gerberding, 83 of Waterloo, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born September 12, 1934 in Percy, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Gerberding was retired from McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Manufacturing in St. Louis, MO and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dora, nee Schuette, Gerberding.

Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years Frances Gerberding, nee Stewart; two sons, Dewayne (Kim) Gerberding of Columbia, IL and Alan (Jana Majewski) Gerberding of O'Fallon, MO; and five grandchildren, Megan, Chelsea, Cara, Tyler (Danielle), and Wolfgang Gerberding. He was a dear cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, IL.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, with Pastor Jonathan Peters officiating.
