Fern C. Bull, nee Braun, 90, of O'Fallon, Illinois, born June 8, 1933 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Thursday, May 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Fern had worked her entire working life as a manager or billing clerk in the medical field, retiring from Touchette Regional Hospital in Centerville, IL. Upon her retirement she found enjoyment being a care giver for those in need.  In her spare time she enjoyed, bowling, reading, crafts, baking, dancing and listening to her favorite music.

Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bull; her parents, George and Bertha, nee Dehn, Braun; her brothers, Robert (Carmen) Braun, Frank Braun, and Fred (Joey) Braun; her three sisters, Albertha Braun, Luella (John) Merchut, and Lucille (Chester "Chick") Cory, and her sister-in-law, Joan Braun.

Surviving are her brother, John Braun of Belleville, IL;  sister-in-law, Emily Braun of Cahokia, IL; three children, Denise (Joe) Hurt of Fairview Heights,IL, Michael (Cindy) Beshears of O'Fallon, IL, and Cathy (Buddy) Bergmire of Fairview Heights, IL; seven grandchildren, Chrissy (Dale) Englemann, Joe (Tia) Hurt, Jr., Keith (Lori Rainbolt) Wolf, Jeremy (Brad Nelson) Beshears, Lauren May, Jordan(Caitlin) Beshears, and Aaren(Anthony) Quinn; thirteen great grandchildren, Josh (Dana),and Tanner (Cara) Hurt, Kirstie (Alex) Williams, Alexis Miller, Addie Wolf, Harlie Rainbolt, Kaden Rainbolt, Levi Hartmann, Jordyn May, Keegan Quinn, Hank Beshears, Veronica Quinn, and Emma Beshears; and four great great grandchildren, Titan Hurt, Ajax Hurt, Rynn Williams and Riah Williams.  She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital; the American Heart Association; or the American Diabetes Association.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Braun Family Funeral Home. Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon with Pastor Alex Williams officiating.  Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
