Ethel "SanDee" Hudgens, nee Swift, 68, of Dupo, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born March 8, 1948, in Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, February 20, 2017, at her residence.
SanDee operated DJs Donuts in Cahokia, IL and was known as the "Donut Lady". She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Cahokia and was a former member of the UAW.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vermil and Ethel, nee Meadors, Swift, Sr.; and a brother, Vermil Swift, Jr.
Surviving are her children, Paul (Julie Stevens) Goforth of Horseshoe Bend, AR, Donald (Jennifer) Goforth of Cahokia, IL, Patricia (Shannon Vaughn) Whitmore of Dupo, IL; and Patrick Mezo (deceased); a brother, Jim (Esther) Hancock of Doniphan, MO; nine grandchildren, Alexis, Quinten, John, Morgan, Austin, Abbi, Josh, Breanna, and Dakota. She was Great Grandma "Nana" to Conner and Addison.
Following Sandee's request her body was cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Valhalla Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Braun Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
