Elizabeth "Betty" Werner, nee Clark, 94, of Columbia, Illinois, born October 14, 1928 in Swanton, Vermont, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Columbia, Illinois.

Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to River City Casino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Werner; son, Steven Werner and son-in-law, Claude Wessel.

Surviving are her children, Thomas (Stephanie) Werner, John (Marilyn) Werner, Jeanne Wessel, Dave Werner and Judy (Mike) Bauer; daughter-in-law, Peggi Werner; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 12:45 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery St. Louis, Missouri with Chaplain Myra Gummersheimer officiating.
