Donna M. Schlegel, nee Lange, 59, of Belleville, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born November 22, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at her residence.

She was retired from Loan Express/Capital Solutions in Cahokia and Chicago, IL. She enjoyed watching baseball and hockey, however, most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by a son, Trenton William Schlegel; her father, Donald Lange; a brother Stewart Lange; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William, (Bill Sr.) and Darlene Schlegel, two nephews and one niece.

Surviving are her husband, William "BJ" Schlegel, Jr.; her sons, Tyler Schlegel, Sr. of O'Fallon, IL  and Travis Schlegel, of Belleville, IL; her mother, Audrey Lange of St. Louis, MO two brothers, Jeff (Jeri) Lange of O'Fallon, MO and Steve (Lisa) Lange of Navarre, FL; a sister, Teresa (Jim) Nabe of Oakville, MO; and her grandchildren, Mariah and Montrai Lockwood, Tyler, Jr., (Tj) Tylyn, Taylyn, and Taylor Schlegel, Destinee Morber, and Anthony and Royalann Schlegel. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 8th 2025 from 5-7pm. with a memorial service immediately following at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.
