Donald S. Stewart, Jr., 70, of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Killeen, Texas, born March 19, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, died Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Autumn Meadows Nursing and rehab in Cahokia Heights, Illinois.

Donald was a retired auto mechanic. He was a U.S. Marine Corps and Army veteran , serving during the Vietnam war.  He was an avid fisherman, a master griller, and an animal lover.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Stewart; a daughter, Shara Stewart; his parents, Donald and Aline, nee Martin, Stewart, Sr.; and three brothers, David, Daniel, and Stephen Stewart.

Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie Peake of Alaska; two brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Stewart of St. Louis, MO and Ronald (Sheryl) Stewart of Collinsville, IL; a sister, Beverly Stewart of O'Fallon, IL; three sisters- in-law, Trudy Stewart of Trenton, IL, Rita Hubbard of MIllstadt, IL, and Cindy Mobley of Cahokia, IL; and a grandson, Michael.  He was also a dear uncle, cousin, and friend.

In following Donald's wishes cremation was to be held. Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Mr. Stewart.
