Donald Raymond Everman, 84, of Caokia, Illinois, born September 20, 1939 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Tuesday, October 10,, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
Don was the former manager of the Ben Franklin Store in Cahokia, IL and retired after 32 years as a chemical operator from Ethyl Petroleum Additives in Sauget, IL. While at Ethyl he also served on the company's fire brigade. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 4596, both of Cahokia. Don served in the U.S. Navy for six years, where he served on the USS Bache during the Cuban Conflict. Don was a 23 year colon cancer survivor.
Don was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with his golf buddies and family. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals' fan and would watch every game. He was also a former member of the Metro East Horseshoe League.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Martha, nee Schultz, Eversman; two sisters, Norma Jean (Bill) Clark and Bernice Eversman; and a brother, William "Sonny" Eversman.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Sandy Eversman, nee LaMotte; two daughters, Donna (Kevin) Kocurek and Lori (Michael Hendrick; a son, Kurt (Julie) Eversman; two brothers, George (Peggy) Eversman and Richard (Dottye) Eversman; a brother-in-law, Randy (Cindy) LaMotte; and his 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who loved him very much. Don was also a dear, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Memorials may be made in the form of masses; donations to the Holy Family Restoration Fund; or a charity of the donor's choice.
Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Cahokia, Illinois. (The family would appreciate if those attending could wear golfing attire.) A Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon, with Father Linus Umoren and Father Evaristus Akabueze officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
