Dennis James Osia, 67, of Cahokia, Illinois, born February 22, 1954 in DeSoto, Missouri, died Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.

Dennis was retired from Union Pacific Railroad in Dupo, IL. He was a member of the UTU Local 218 in Dupo, IL. Although he enjoyed playing golf and poker, his whole world revolved around his wife and daughters

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Virginia, nee Mercille, Osia; and two nephews, Jimmy McMillan and Danny Walker.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Theresa, nee Voyles, Osia; two daughters, Elizabeth (Jason Beddingfield) Osia of Columbia, IL and Megan Osia of Cahokia, IL; a brother, Terry (Bonnie) Osia of Columbia, IL and two sisters, Jean (Daryl) Walker of Edwardsville, IL and Gail (Rickey) Barnett of Troy, IL. He was also a dear uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. A funeral procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021,, from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, Cahokia, Illinois for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial. In following Dennis' wish a cremation will follow.
