Denise L. Kilhafner, nee Spangenberg, 60, of Champaign, IL., formerly of Cahokia, IL., born March 13, 1961, passed away on Thursday April 29, 2021 peacefully in her sleep.

Denise was employed as a EKG Tech. at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. Prior to Carle, she was employed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital for twenty five years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Viola, nee Griffith, Spangenberg two sisters, Judith Shanks and Janice Wilson, and her beloved Himalayan, Jasper.

Surviving are her daughter, Miranda White of Champaign, IL. significant other Robert Adams of Lake St. Louis, MO. Two sisters, Nancy Cox of Coral Springs, FL., Constance (Mark) Miller of Ludlow, IL.; two bonus daughters, (nieces) Alicia Augustine of Belleville, IL., Meghan Herbeck of Overland Park, KS.; six more nieces and nephews; grand cats, Theo, Marcel and Denise's baby girl Holly. Dear mother, aunt, cousin and friend. Denise was always the life of any party or get together and loved to make you laugh. We will carry that on for her.

Visitation will be on Tuesday May 4, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home 3701 Falling Springs Rd Cahokia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Private cremation will follow
