David C. Prater 21, of Dupo, IL, born October 23, 2000 in Belleville, IL, passed away on Tuesday. May 17, 2022 at his residence.

David worked at Trinity Services in Mascoutah, IL He had a heart of gold and was always helping people. He enjoyed gaming and spending time with his family and friends. He was looking forward to becoming a father for the first time.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Debbie Palmer and Tina Carenza; grandfather, Keith Czapla; great grandparents, George and Fran Kennedy; aunt, Sharon Fraizer; cousin, Jake Bruno.

Surviving are his parents, Steve and Tiffany, nee Czapla, Prater of Dupo, IL; four sisters, Kayla (Brennen Murphy) Prater, Kyann Prater, Keara Prater all of Dupo, IL and Breanna Parker of Lenzberg, IL; two brothers, Deegan Prater of Dupo, IL and Mike Fochmann of Belleville, IL; grandfather, Bruce Palmer of Dupo, IL. He was a dear nephew, cousin and friend.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, Illinois.

Funeral Service 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Haynes officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery Belleville, Illinois.
