David F. Mothershead, 74 of Cahokia, IL., born on February 23, 1943 in St. Louis Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

David was retired from Boeing Aircraft Industry in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of IAMAW AFL-CIO Local 837 of St. Louis, MO; a member of the Illinois Horseshoe Pitching Association; an avid Horseshoe player; and an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 621 in Cahokia, IL.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys, nee Farris, Mothershead.

Surviving are his wife, Mona Mothershead, nee Recklein; his children, Dawn Mothershead of Cahokia, IL, and David (Melissa) Mothershead of Fults, IL; one brother, James Manes of Newburg, MO, and three sisters, Marcia (Robert) White of Virginia, Betty Broughton of Virginia and Terry Warren of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren; Deana Mothershead, Kelsie Kroenig, David Mothershead II and Max Mothershead. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home 3701 Falling Springs Road, Cahokia, Illinois. Private cremation was held.
