David E. Gischer, 78, of Cahokia, Illinois, born July 19, 1943 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his residence.

David was a self employed contractor. He was an avid horseshoe pitcher for Oscar's Bar and Grill and he enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Wanda, nee Digby, Gischer; four brothers, Donny, Billy, Eddie, and Joe Gischer; and a sister, Sandra Gischer.

Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Gischer of Centerville, IN; two brothers, Rick Gischer of Cahokia, IL and Gary (Barb) Gischer of St. Louis, MO; and four sisters, Edith Morehead of Blueford, IL, Bernice Raby of Waterloo, IL, Linda Wiegand of Waterloo, IL, and Brenda Holcomb of Red Bud, IL. He was also a dear uncle, cousin, and friend,
