Daniel "Dan" J. Stewart Sr. 59 of Trenton, IL., born on December 23, 1958 in St. Louis, MO., passed away on Saturday October 20, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Dan was formerly employed by Cerro Copper Products in Sauget, IL., he loved playing horseshoe's and was an avid fisherman.

Preceded in death by his parents, Donald & Aline Martin, Stewart, 2 brothers David and Stephen Stewart.

Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years Trudy M. Stewart nee Ates, his children Cheri Stewart of Trenton, IL., and Daniel Stewart II of Dupo, IL. 3 brothers Donald (Irene) Stewart of Kileen, TX., Ronald (Sheryl) Stewart of Collinsville, IL., and Robert (Bonnie) Stewart of St. Louis, MO. 1 sister Beverly Stewart of O'Fallon, IL. 4 grandchildren Jonathan, Daniel III, Charley and Joey. He was a dear uncle, cousin , brother-in-law and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Rodney Hall officiating. At Dan's request private cremation will follow.
